The Management of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra announced, at the press conference to present the 2010-2011 Symphony Orchestra Season, that an agreement has been reached with Maestro Neuhold to extend his job as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the BSO for three more years, on top of the three years in his current contract.
\nThe Maestro was not only extremely pleased with the degree of coordination reached with political figures and technical staff at the BSO, but also with the work that he has done with the Orchestra in the almost two years that he has been in charge and he stressed the rapport that has been achieved between ensemble and conductor. In his own words, the work that he wants to carry out in the Orchestra, in order to be as effective as possible, must be done at “a slow pace”, as this is the only way that aims can be achieved in an organisation like a symphony orchestra.<\/p>\n
